Family of Jonathan Wardill and Rebecca (nee Tinley)
Jonathan (1780 - abt 1840), a mariner was the seccond son of Jonathan Wardill (1745 - 1803) and Elizabeth Petty (1747 - 1835). He appears to have had two children by Elizabeth Shimmins who he married on April 30 1806, one being named Ann Elizabeth who lived 4 months and was burried in Bridlington, September 1809. He subsequently married Rebecca (formerly widow Shimins) on September 9 1818 in St. George in the East, London. They had one child Jonathan.
